Tell us about your family.
I grew up in Springdale, Arkansas and my wife Suzanne is from North Little Rock, Arkansas. I met Suzanne at Williams Baptist University in Walnut Ridge, AR in 2006. We were both in the choir together. We dated for 4 years before getting married in 2010. Suzanne is an editor the preschool division for the Gospel Project for LifeWay Christian Publishing. We are in the process of adopting our forever baby. We are approved and patiently waiting to be paired. We have two dogs; Max, our 13 year old Terrier/Pomeranian mix and Teddy, our 2 year old Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix.

When/How did you begin your relationship with Jesus Christ?
I grew up in church all my life. My grandfather was a pastor in various churches in Arkansas my entire life. My dad is a deacon and my mom is the church administrator in my home church. At the age of 8 I came forward during VBS expressing that I wanted to be baptized. I realized at the age of 18 that I was baptized to please others instead of a need to be saved. I fully surrendered my life to God and ministry the summer before I went to college in 2006.

How did you come to Lonoke Baptist Church?
I was serving as a children’s minister in Mississippi. God had placed a desire in our hearts to be closer to family in Arkansas. When Bro. Reid contacted me it was a very challenging time in our lives. Suzanne had just completed her third surgery to have a tumor removed. The week that Bro. Reid first contacted me was Suzanne’s last week of radiation treatment for sinus cancer. After a couple of weeks of discussions, we felt God calling us to Lonoke and to LBC in July of 2023.
